Māra Eorþe
A work in progress by Julia Gyulai exploring the Multiverse theory through movement. Combining conceptual & scientific approaches with mythological interpretations of the idea of infinite universes existing simultaneously, Māra Eorþe invites its audience to challenge the way they look at space.
Mara, the goddess of death, appears in several mythologies as a collective figure of such fundamental qualities as death, eroticism, land and earth. In some legends she manifests into nightmares, she seduces the protagonist before enlightenment and most importantly she divides herself into nine, simultaneously existing worlds.
The performance was live streamed by a 360 camera in order to explore the further spatial dimensions offered by technology.
